H. Karlsson Woodwinds is a high-end woodwind repair shop specializing in clarinet repair. In addition to the usual maintenance services found at most music stores, H. Karlsson Woodwinds also offers acoustical corrections, in-depth product consultation and education, and more advanced repair solutions to help bring your instrument of choice into top playing condition. Repairs and consultations are on a by-appointment-only basis. Consignment evaluation appointments available by request. Oboe, English horn, and bassoon repairs also available. No Sunday appointments. Saturdays can also be pretty iffy. Beware of the cat.

MEET THE STAFF
Resident DivaH. Karlsson Woodwinds is host to a loveable yet untouchable furball named Tosca Q Puss. The cuteness is a TRAP. She is an absolute nut and bites without warning. She has gotten more unpredictable as she's gotten older, and is now seventeen years old. Just leave her alone, and you'll escape with all your body parts intact. She WILL judge you if you are having a bad reed day.

SHOP POLICY UPDATES BELOW. PLEASE READ.
1. Drop-offs only. I have discovered that I can concentrate better when I work at my own pace. Contact me for a time to drop it off on my front porch. Do not drop off your instrument without first contacting me and arranging a time. I am not responsible for lost or stolen instruments.
2. You can also mail your instrument to me, BUT please allow extra time for inevitable delivery delays. FedEx and UPS is in chaos, and the U.S. Postal Service just announced they're slowing down some types of mail delivery service. This can add anywhere from two days to three weeks or more to delivery time. As always, please send me the tracking number so I can keep an eye out for it.
4. Turnaround time varies by time of year and type of project. If you have a deadline, please communicate that with me as soon as possible, and I will let you know if I am able to accommodate you.
5. Once your instrument is finished, I will contact you for payment. Once payment is received, we can make arrangements for pickup or return shipping. I am not responsible for instruments left over 30 days, unless prior arrangement has been made.
6. I cannot give an estimate sight unseen. In order to give you the most accurate analysis of your instrument, I have to see it in person. Therefore, I do not offer cost estimates or time frames on instruments I have not looked at.
